These liberals just trip out of control when privacy is invaded upon even to the slightest degree. I caught that segment and I was thinking the entire time, "this isn't the worst idea in the world...". But, Christ, you bring up the trump card point. Screw your privacy; if you are working for me, you are not going to be a crack-head. Why wouldn't I expect the same if you are getting money for doing nothing? Maybe that means that all people receiving money from the state, including politicians, should get tested as well. Keep things consistent. Fine, I would be completely OK with that. But that's doesn't seem like that's Stewart's position.

Couldn't agree more. My issue with Mika though is not that she's a flaming liberal, because as you point out, they need a liberal to balance Scarborough. It's just...can't they get an INTELLIGENT liberal?? As a poster above mentioned, MSNBC certainly has intelligent liberal women. Donny Deutsch definitely useless; I mean fine, you're not an analyst, but at least try to provide an opinion on your area of expertise, i.e. advertising and image. He can't even do that. But all that aside, I have to say, it's really nice to see that there ARE other people out there who are interested in a) intelligent discourse, and b) a blend of opinions. I really really hate ideologues; I LOVE fire but I hate irrationality. I feel like there are so many people out there that must feel that same way...but there aren't enough people in the public arena that reflect it. Obama is rational but he has no fire. Republicans with fire are a dime a dozen but they're not rational. Something's gotta give.

Wow, I was just watching morning Joe and I googled "Mika is an Idiot" and I found your post. I agree with your analyses and while I like Joe and think that he needs balance or otherwise the MSNBC dorks would have a Fox show. It seems to me that they need this unabashed liberal to keep Joe in line. It is my favorite morning show as they at least try to have different points of view, but Joe is generally the only conservative on the show. Donnie Douche generally has nothing important to add and I still have yet to figure out why he even gets air time. MIke clearly has some connection and Joe is just going along for the ride and making good money.

Well said. Finally among all the comments I find some truth. The root cause of the problem is the Federal Reserve and the corrupted U.S. government-. While it's hard to tell if even Paul, Kucinich and Sanders can dig us out of this mess, it is very clear what is the problem if you only do some reading. How can we survive if the Fed keeps stealing 6% off the top of every transactio-n and has the power to create money out of thin air whenever it desires. Once again I urge everyone to look closely at your representa-tives and decide if they have YOUR best interests at heart or their own. If you keep voting the party line you will keep ending up with the same ONE party system we already have that is taking advantage of our ignorance. abolishthe-fed.blogsp-ot.comguild wars 2 gold

Slim, for me to not have jumped on the “hate O’Reilly band-wagon” even when he’s ostensibly the biggest extremist around…don’t you think that there’s sure as shit a damn good reason that I DIDN’T jump on the band-wagon? To that point:

I was just making the point with my nephew (who is a OWS supporter) it is like the chicken and egg, but with OWS it is which came first the bribe or the politician with his hand out? I think OWS is attacking the problem by the tail and should be targeting the snake at the head (which lays in DC). I like your post!cheap diablo 3 gold

By the way Truth, just to clarify the point, I know the kind of baiting you're talking about, and that's not what he was doing here. He didn't drop the factoid to elicit a reaction. He started with the erroneous factoid and rattled off a whole bunch of facts that WERE correct, i.e. they were CBO projections, and he was genuinely pissed off at Juan Williams. At the beginning of the post, I said that Hannity ended the segment by saying "My blood pressure is getting high" and "I don't know why I like you." He was completely pissed off that Juan still had the balls to defend the state of the economy. He wasn't trying to get a reaction out of Juan with factoid-baiting; no he was trying to make his case and he mixed bullshit in with his facts....and the funny thing is, all he succeeded in doing was pissing himself off. I'm guessing you commented here without having even watched the segment; you probably would've known better otherwise.

Hey Truth, do you really think that Hannity spilling out one "inaccurate factoid" after another is purely a contrivance, and that outside of the show he's a pleasant, reasonable, amiable guy? Of COURSE the show's ratings are sky-high because Hannity is about as fierce a debater as you'll find, but all his "inaccurate factoids" are dropped from a place of passion. Let me break it down for you: a) he REALLY REALLY hates Obama/democrats/liberals. Do you disagree? Are you following me? And b) he's a rock solid debater because he knows how to be condescending when needed and he'll pepper his arguments with "inaccurate factoids" when needed if only to bolster his point. So..."2 million jobs lost" to bait Williams and increase ratings? Lol, no. He does that because he HATES liberals, he's a good debater, he will win the argument at all costs and he'll spin facts in any fashion necessary to prove his point. The results are beautiful: a) he beats his opponents (typically), and b) ...he gets his sky-high ratings. But his fierce, irrational ideological debate skills come first and his sky-high ratings come second; do you understand the difference?

I don't really watch any of these guys, but you're calling out O'Reilly as good?? I've seen him on Stewart before, and O'Reilly always gets handled. Isn't he the master of spin? I could see you saying he's the best that Fox news has, but calling him solid??? I'm surprised. Not that I've ever actually evaluated any of these guys for myself so I'm just hopping on the standard bandwagon of people hating on O'Reilly.

One thing to remember in regard to Hannity's mantra of "2 million jobs lost," et al, is that Hannity loves baiting his guests for the sake of "theater." He especially likes to push Juan's and Bob Beckel's "hot buttons" since that keeps the viewers addicted to the melodrama, enables the independent and undecided viewers to see democrates as fanatical ideologues, and keeps his show's ratings sky-high. You really don't think that Hannity believes that the 2-million jobs lost is really a direct result of Obama's stewardship, do you?! He just uses that inaccurate factoid, and other manipulatively inaccurate claims, to foster disdain for each of the democrats' entitlement policies. I like Juan, but he is naive not to recognize Hannity's parlor tricks (as are you)! : )
