I’m sorry, I’m sure nobody knows who this idiot is because she’s on at 6 in the morning on MSNBC on Morning Joe; she co-hosts the show with Joe Scarborough…but she is such a flaming retard that I just need to vent. (Look at her Politiside rating, I’m not the only one.) I started watching this show because I’m up very late and I need my politics fix at all hours of the day and night. So I happened to catch this show playing; watched it a couple of times and suprisingly, for such an ungodly hour, they get real political heavyweights on the show. (For the record, I now hate MSNBC more than Fox; they’re further left than Fox is right…but in terms of pure politics, nobody holds a candle to MSNBC. I’m not talking about these retards Ed Schultz, Maddow etc.; I’m talking about the types of guests they have on Hardball. Chris Matthews himself isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, he’s just a personality, but he sure as hell gets all the hardcore politicos and big players; conservative, liberal, democrat, republican and everything in between.) So anyway, a lot of the heavyweights are on this show, and I’ve always liked Scarborough; he’s just a solid dude…and for some insane reason, they slip in this retard Brzezinski as a co-host. She is so stupid I had to actually google “Mika Brzezinski idiot” to see if there was some back-story here, but no. This blonde bobblehead anorexic liberal twat has absolutely NOTHING useful to say at any turn; she just sits there with perpetually pouted lips (not at all in a sexy way) going “Yeah…uh-huh….that’s right…oh stop it…knock it off…I know…that’s right, he was at the event last night” etc. etc., ad nauseam. I mean she’s surrounded by these hardcore analysts, pundits, ex-congressmen, current congressmen etc. who can carry on for DAYS on any given topic; they have great discussions amongst each other…and meanwhile you have this pretentious airhead sitting there chiming in with her two-word agreements or scoldings just PISSING me the fuck off. And the most amazing part is this: I watched her a couple times and I was like ok, she is embarrassingly bad; poor Scarborough has to carry her dumb dead-weight ass continuously. They gotta replace her sometime soon right? I mean even she must hate the fact that she has nothing to contribute to these conversations. But no…after having seen her a few more times, she clearly doesn’t have a problem at ALL with her own idiocy; having nothing but 2-word pseudo exclamations to offer doesn’t phase her in the least. It is amazing; Scarborough is a solid conservative, very sense based, good personality and he essentially runs the show…and somehow this Brzezinski, who’s just about as useless as any random plebeian shmoe you might pluck off the street, has the balls to berate him and condescend to him sometimes, I am like what is going around here, is this the twilight zone??? PLEASE…I don’t care if Obama is removed from office this fall or not, but this Brzezinski just needs to be voted off the island. She is ruining my morning i.e. late night politics fix.

UPDATE – Oh my god, I want to vomit. I cannot get away from this show because it is now, to me, head and shoulders above every other political show on cable tv. Even despite Brzezinski it’s the best. But I am watching it at this very moment and Brzezinski committed three more egregious errors that are so typical of her freakshow of a personality that I need to vent:
1) Donny Deutsch, who granted is not exactly a preeminent political thinker, was simply trying to offer a counter to a point Scarborough made…and he was in agreement with Brzezinski…and Brzezinski turned to him, held up her hand, and said “Be quiet, you’re not credible; you’re not helping my case.” …I have no words. Brzezinski has the BALLS to tell someone else that THEY’RE not credible????
2) Tina Brown, editor-in-chief of the Daily Beast, mentioned something about Newt Gingrich being a pasty-white mean-spirited guy. And Brzezinski was just beside herself; she was looking all around the table saying “Did you guys hear what she said? Is that acceptable?” The hyper-partisan, hyper-liberal, empty-headed Brzezinski had her politically correct sensibilities override her hatred for the republican party; she makes me sick to me stomach.
3) Jim VandeHei, the executive editor and co-founder of freaking POLITICO, was trying to explain why Obama is not a favorite for the general election because of simple economic realities. In that…you know, if the economy is not doing too hot at the time of the general (which, as he pointed out, many economists say is a very plausible and perhaps likely scenario), then Obama is going to be the underdog. And of all things, Brzezinski got red in the face and began trying to educate him. Brzezinski…the airhead who is made amazing only by her self-assurance and her ability to shamelessly speak her mind even though she has absolutely nothing to say…this useless blonde twat had the balls to condescend to the freaking EXECUTIVE EDITOR AND CO-FOUNDER OF POLITICO!!!! She said “You know what, you and everyone at this table don’t listen too well, which is not surprising since you’re all boys. He’s the favorite right now; that’s all that matters.”
I have never wanted to slap somebody so badly in my life. Even people like Hannity and Coulter don’t bother me as much as this pretentious airhead because those people can at least conduct in-depth discourse. This idiot sits there, morning after morning, amongst some of the biggest political players in the game, and she says nothing, shoots everyone condescending looks and convinces herself that she’s some kind of legitimate news anchor/commentator. Watching her reminds me of the episode of Seinfeld where Kramer is dating some sociopathic curmudgeon of a woman, and this is what Jerry and Elaine say – Elaine: “If you could see her personality, it would be like one of the Elephant Man exhibits, you know where they pull off the sheet and everyone gasps.” Jerry: “I can’t believe someone hasn’t killed her yet.” Um, yeah. That pretty much sums up my feelings for this freakshow Brzezinski.

UPDATE – Mika is evolving. My previous comments don’t even seem applicable anymore. I talked before about how she had nothing but two word pseudo-exclamations to contribute, but that’s no longer the case. The new Mika has plenty to say…and that is worse. Much, much worse. Literally within the last two episodes, she’s begun to co-opt the lead interviewer position; she’s trying to wrangle it away from Scarborough. I’m almost in disbelief that I’m even writing those words; I could’ve imagined a hundred different scenarios playing out on this show and that’s the LAST one I would’ve considered. It is so painful for me to say this: Mika is, quite unfortunately, not a complete flaming retard. She is more than capable of stringing coherent sentences together, much to the detriment of all the viewers.
See, here’s the thing. If Mika was anchoring her own show in some other time slot on MSNBC, I wouldn’t give two tin shits. I simply wouldn’t watch her, case closed. She would be in the Lawrence O’Donnell/Ed Schultz/Hannity category as far as I’d be concerned. Something you maybe watch from time to time purely as a novelty. The problem is…that isn’t the case. She’s on the best goddamn political news show not just on cable but in television HISTORY, period. And she is officially ruining it. See here’s my other dirty little secret: as much as I hated Mika before, I got to the point where I didn’t want her to leave. She became my love-to-hate character, and the dynamic between her and Scarborough (and the rest of the gang, but her and Scarborough in particular), just cracked me up. But…that was because Scarborough ALWAYS treated her like the insignificant nothing that she is, and by and large, he would always win. That’s no longer the case. There’s a shift happening. Mika is asserting herself as a “strong” personality, and she’s gained so much confidence in her interviewing abilities that she’s snatching the reigns right out of Scarborough’s hands. Right in front of his goddamn face. And she’s so shrill and so hyper-partisan and so inexplicably supremely confident despite her monumental stupidity (as is the case with many personalities, which I’ll never understand)…that Scarborough has pretty much been emasculated, at least in the last couple of episodes. Once again I can’t believe I just wrote those words, MIKA emasculated fucking JOE SCARBOROUGH, one of the strongest dudes I’ve seen in a long time, not only because he knows how to steamroll the opposition, but because he knows how to pull his punches as well. I can’t believe it. I just cannot believe it. The biggest idiot in the world, Mika Brzezinski, is getting the better of Joe Scarborough.
Some of the posters below said a while ago that Mika had so turned them off that they had stopped watching the show. That wasn’t the case for me. As I said, she became my love to hate character, and I LOVED watching Scarborough condescend to her. If Mika actually continues this evisceration of one the tightest personalities I’ve seen on television in a long time? I will literally have to stop watching the show as well. Already the show’s chemistry seems strange and Scarborough’s timing is off…if he can’t find a way to get a handle on this, oh my fucking god, the greatest news show of all time will go down the tubes. Jesus christ. Please…please either a) let the ratings drop because of Mika’s new “role”, or b) Scarborough, please, PLEASE find a way to slap down your new opponent (Brzezinski) in what’s clearly going to be a much tougher fight than before. Do it for all the viewers that love your show.

This woman irritates me so much that I cannot tolerate the show for so much as five minutes anymore. But I have a theory about her seemingly inexplicable longevity: Joe simply does not want a solid cerebral counterweight. The man has a good analytical mind, politically; however, like every other television news personality, he is inarguably biased (less than some, more than others). Within MSNBC’s current stable there are women who would offer a much more stimulating, interesting, dynamic counterbalance to what is now a one-sided offering of articulate observation with nothing coming from Mika but mugging at the camera. Savannah Guthrie and Tamron Hall come to mind. It seems obvious, though, that if Joe has elected to keep that moron in his employ as long as he has, he simply does not want to be challenged. Unfortunate. It could be a much better show. As things stand now, I find it basically insufferable.

Hallelujah, thank the dear lord!!!! I needed some agreement on this, christ wept. You know what the sad thing is? Many people are finding this article because there are all kinds of searches being done that are variants of “Mika Brzezinski is a retard”. To a couple of your points:
1) Joe doesn’t want a cerebral counterweight…I mean unless there’s some inside knowledge here, could that really be true? I personally don’t get that sense at all. I’ve never seen this guy shy away from an argument with anyone; if anything, he thrives on argument and on more than one occasion I’ve seen Brzezinski throw one of her ill-timed jabs and if Scarborough decides to engage, he is more than happy to swat her down in a civil but still condescending fashion. I swear, I feel like he really goes out of his way to bite his tongue with her most of the time though; I mean she’s completely unprofessional, she makes awkward remarks sometimes that make their groups uncomfortable, and her bizarre 2-bit jabs at Scarborough are freaking ALWAYS ill-timed. I’m always down for some good scrapping; with her though it’s always snooty bobbleheaded empty liberal nonsense and I feel like…pretty much everyone surrounding her just suffers through it. God is it Scarborough calling the shots on the co-host or is it the producers, what the HELL is going on here??
2) The counterpoint to that of course is what you mentioned: the MSNBC stable has other women that are CLEARLY qualified. I sit there and stew making up story-lines in my head about how this twat must’ve gotten this job because her father is Zbigniew Brzezinski and there was some kind of nepotism in play.
3) Scarborough biased; no DOUBT. He’s an unabashed conservative. But me personally, I never mind a bias to the left or right as long as you’re not STUPID (a la Mika Brzezinski) and as long as you’re not an IDEOLOGUE (a la Sean Hannity or Ann Coulter). I have never seen someone I agree with 100%, but as long as most of your narrative is sense based and you concede to points when they make sense….fucking I LOVE IT, cannot get enough. So on that, major props to Scarborough.
But anyways, appreciate the thoughtful comment; thank god this chick is pissing everyone off.

I have to say though, I don’t know much about Zbigniew…I’ve only seen him speak a few times…but at a minimum he is clearly intelligent and articulate, and that’s something that people of any political stripe can see. Mika Brzezinski…it’s like she was birthed and god realized he forgot to give her a brain.

Wow, I was just watching morning Joe and I googled “Mika is an Idiot” and I found your post. I agree with your analyses and while I like Joe and think that he needs balance or otherwise the MSNBC dorks would have a Fox show. It seems to me that they need this unabashed liberal to keep Joe in line. It is my favorite morning show as they at least try to have different points of view, but Joe is generally the only conservative on the show. Donnie Douche generally has nothing important to add and I still have yet to figure out why he even gets air time. MIke clearly has some connection and Joe is just going along for the ride and making good money.

Couldn’t agree more. My issue with Mika though is not that she’s a flaming liberal, because as you point out, they need a liberal to balance Scarborough. It’s just…can’t they get an INTELLIGENT liberal?? As a poster above mentioned, MSNBC certainly has intelligent liberal women. Donny Deutsch definitely useless; I mean fine, you’re not an analyst, but at least try to provide an opinion on your area of expertise, i.e. advertising and image. He can’t even do that. But all that aside, I have to say, it’s really nice to see that there ARE other people out there who are interested in a) intelligent discourse, and b) a blend of opinions. I really really hate ideologues; I LOVE fire but I hate irrationality. I feel like there are so many people out there that must feel that same way…but there aren’t enough people in the public arena that reflect it. Obama is rational but he has no fire. Republicans with fire are a dime a dozen but they’re not rational. Something’s gotta give.

Hahaha, I’m not a conservative or a liberal; I just want to hear deep discourse. Mika is not a person that offers that. Even evaluating whether or not she does is an insult; it’s the same thing as evaluating whether or not a hapless bystander on the street does. Who cares about that guy?? Let’s just hear what legit personalities have to say…I mean as retarded as someone like a Limbaugh is, he is at least a LEGIT PERSONALITY. It’s not a strange thing to evaluate the words that come out of his mouth. Brzezinski…yeah might as well evaluate a box of rocks. It just goes to show that much more that Scarborough is a strong dude; to have been able to co-host with Brzezinski for god knows how long, he must be. Although you know there must have been times when he wanted to turn around and slap her.

I’ve been waiting a long time for others to notice Mika. When I watch her pursing her lips and squinting her eyes and generally feigning indignation, or surprise or telegraphs that is she is INTENSELY listening to someone by tilting her head and pursing those lips I get sick. Anyone who’s ever worked at a corporation knows this move…so and so is speaking and there’s always a tool that uses their body language to demonstrate how much they’re in agreement and paying attention. That’s all Mika does.
She hasn’t known a down day since middle school thru her years at Williams. I wonder if she had trouble finding an apartment in NYC. She is easily the most absurd, annoying personality on tv.

Ha! I like watching MSNBC in the morning as well but I always end up turning the channel prematurely to Squawk Box because I can’t stand Mika. I actually Googled “Mika personality” and found this site and it feels so good to be validated by all of your comments. It would be much more enjoyable to see an intelligent female as a counterpoint to Joe and, while they’re at it, dump Donnie as well. That being said, “Squawk Box” is the only show that can compete with “Morning Joe” right now because of those two man idiots on Fox. I mean, how can someone want to start their day with ignorant banter and ill-timed humor first thing in the morning? It seems someone would want to jump on this gap and create a more serious-minded show without any idiots present for those of us who don’t have the patience for this. Keep it up, “And Christ Said.”

No the sad thing is that not only do people not want to create more serious minded shows, they do everything in their power to get AWAY from serious shows. I think the only reason they allow an intelligent show like Morning Joe to exist is because it’s on so early. Look at MSNBC primetime. Ed Schultz. Lawrence O’Donnell. Bleck. Fox? Hannity. It’s a joke. Mika Brzezinski…it just seems all too clear now that they keep her on as the “love to hate” personality. This seems even more evident because of Donny Deutsch. Why bother having him on? I don’t hate the guy per se; I actually thought his old show “The Big Idea” was pretty decent; very inspiring success stories. But on Morning Joe…he’s terrible. He gets more and more awkward every time and all people do is make fun of him. Oh gee…I’m actually seeing him on as a recurring guest more than EVER now. This morning he was a panelist for a majority of the show…making useless comments, acting like he’s a political analyst, and getting made fun of constantly. Scarborough himself at one point was laughing so hard saying “Do you have any idea how hated you are?” Literally, people hate this guy. The producers know it. And they keep having him back on. That tells you something. Nobody in television really wants “pure serious”. They need entertainment as well, which I am noramlly ALL for, I mean I don’t want a televised version of the Associated Press…but when their idea of “entertainment” is Mika & Donny, it makes me want to throw up. Scarborough and the rest of the gang are entertaining as shit as is; can’t that be enough?? Nope. They have to piss people the fuck off. God, don’t they know we’d all still keep watching even if they kicked Mika’s & Donny’s dumb asses to the curb??

And to add to that, I’ll say that I’m getting worried by Donny’s increasing presence. God I HOPE they aren’t starting to pile on the ratings and then saying “Gee this hating on idiots thing sure is working out; let’s have MORE idiots on.” They’re bordering on credibility insolvency as far as I’m concerned; the reason Morning Joe is such a great show is the incredibly deep political analysis from the best names in the game and Scarborough’s riotous personality, the guy just cracks me up. Right now they’re pushing their “idiot entertainment” quotient to the limit; if it goes any higher, I think they’re gonna have to be declared bankrupt.

I have caught Miss Mika more than a few times, during a discusion with a conservative, looking down at her Blackberry because Axelrod’s office has sent her some talking points. She is such an idiot that she repeats the talking points verbatim. I Hate Mika.
She thinks that someone who doesn’t make her choices in life should be made by the government to live the “correct way”. Oh and by the way, I hate Mika.
